You can now make your myeditweb.com access even more secure.
Our customer only, web site,
https://myeditweb.com
, now supports multi-factor authentication. This means that when you log in with your password, the system will send a text message to your mobile phone with a one time password. You will enter this password to confirm your identity. This makes it nearly impossible for someone to access your account unless they have your username, password and physical access to your mobile phone. For your home computer, you can check "Trust this device" so you will not need to confirm every time you log in.
This feature is off by default.
After logging into
https://myeditweb.com
Turn it on by clicking on the the multi-factor icon
in the top row.
Check the "Enable Multi-Factor Authentication" check box.
Enter your cell phone number.
Once you have entered a valid cell phone number, a "Send Code" button will appear, click it.
Once you receive the verification code on your phone, enter it into the "Verification Code" field.
Click "Confirm Code".
If the verification was successful, click "OK".
If the verification fails, follow the online instructions to try again.
You can press "Cancel" and re-try the process if you entered the phone number wrong etc.
